Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana John has experience in multiple facets of theatrical costuming including costume design, crafts, construction and wardrobe. He obtained his Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Southern Indiana in May of 2018, and started his graduate school journey later that fall. John’s desire to becoming a working theatre professional and a graduate student was fulfilled when he obtained a Graduate Teaching Assistantship, and received his Masters Degree in Fine Arts in Costume Design at The University of Tennessee Knoxville. Teaching, studying, and designing multiple productions at the Clarence Brown Theatre during his graduate studies proved to be a valuable experience in growing as a theatre professional, and future educator. He has worked with a wide range of directors and artists in the throughout the Midwest region, working with summer stock opportunities at The Great River Shakespeare Festival, New Harmony Theatre, and Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre. John is also an active vintage fashion enthusiast and collector, with several of his collected items expanding from the 1910s to the 1990s. Currently, he is living in Atlanta, GA working on several tv/film productions while also freelance costume designing for theatre.
